Activities
We offer many activities for students at Bright Star Chrisitan School which challenge our students academically, spiritually, and in character development.
Extracurricular Activities:
Extracurricular opportunities vary from year to year. In previous years, we have offered the following: Band, Basketball, Ag, Volleyball, Choir, Art, Golf, Biblical Studies, Yearbook, Greek, Bible Drill, Tennis, Robotics and Engineering.
Honors Program:
The Bright Star Christian School Honors Program is designed to challenge students. Unlike other honors programs that are based solely on academic aptitude, we wish to focus on the whole student. When we speak of the whole student, we include academic requirements, leadership opportunities, spiritual challenges, community service, and personal improvement goals. Honor Students will be announced at the end of the school year. The award recipients will have the Honors recorded in their transcript and be recognized for their achievement in the awards ceremony. For more details see the program information sheets on the forms page.
Endeavor Clubs:
Endeavor Clubs are student-led clubs with a stated goal of enhancing student life at Bright Star Christian School. Endeavor Clubs give students the opportunity to organize and lead other students. These clubs meet after school and require a teacher or parent sponsor.
Challenge Program:
The goal of the Challenge Program is to encourage students who have shown academic aptitude in a given subject or subjects through testing and teacher observation. The teachers and administration will meet with parents to cooperatively form a study plan. A student that enters the Challenge Program in a high school course will receive a weighted GPA for that subject.
