Calendar Update for End of Year Activities

Sky Ranch is Wednesday-Friday, April 22-24 for fifth through tenth grade students. Students going to Sky Ranch must be to school by 8:45. We will leave the school parking lot at 9:30. I sent an email a week ago with the list of what to bring to camp and what not to bring. Please check your email for that information. With all the rain lately, I recommend extra shoes for camp and a poncho or raincoat. We will be back to school Friday afternoon by 3:00. I will text when we leave camp.

Students not going to Sky Ranch must be to school at regular time.

Yearbook meetings will be Friday, May 1 from 4:00-5:30 and Friday, May 8 from 4:00-5:30.

Golf practices will be announced on a weekly basis due to all the rain.

The band will be playing at Rock Creek Health and Rehab on Thursday, May 7 at 2:30 and Hopkins House on Friday, May 8 at 2:30. Students must wear their school shirt tucked in with a belt, black pants and black shoes and socks. They will return to school before the 3:45 dismissal. Permission slips will be sent home.

The elementary choir and BSCS band spring program is on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 in the sanctuary.

Iowa Testing (grades 3-9) begins Wednesday, May 13 through Friday, May 15. It is important that your child be to school before 8:15 in order to prepare for testing. School will be dismissed at noon the three days of testing

(May 13-15) for all students.

Awards ceremony is Tuesday, May 19 during chapel (9:15). Parents are welcome to attend.

School work day is Wednesday, May 20. Students will spend the day working around school. The boys basketball team will go to the Nazarene Church from 8:30-12:00 to work that day to give back for allowing us to use their gym. They will be back for lunch at school and to work at school the rest of the day. School will be dismissed at regular time this day.

The last day of school for elementary is Thursday, May 21. The elementary students will be performing their spring program at Diamond Set at the First Baptist Church at noon. FBC will provide lunch. After the program, they will go to Mrs. McFadden’s house for a swim party. Parents pick up students at Mrs. McFadden’s house at 3:00.

Sixth through tenth graders will be dismissed at noon on Thursday, May 21.

The eighth through tenth grade banquet is Thursday, May 21. Students will be picked up at school at 6:00. The banquet is from 7:00-11:00 at The Lodge. Tickets will be available for purchase in the office next week.

The last day of school for sixth-tenth grade is Friday, May 22. Students must be at school at regular time. We will head to Mrs. McFadden’s house at 10:30 for the pool party. Lunch is provided. Parents pick up students at Mrs. McFadden’s house at 3:00.
