2012 A Bright Year at Bright Star
The Christmas break is over and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family. We are very excited about the coming year at Bright Star Christian School. So its time for a brief update on what we are up to.
- The new permanent sign is in the works! It will be raised and lit on Lee Street. We are working with Calvary Baptist Church on this project.
- We are also looking at some fundraising options to begin the upstairs expansion which is necessary for our continued growth.
- This semester our High School enrollment has already doubled and we are praying about offering kindergarden for fall 2012.
- The student lead Bright Star Chess Club will be holding several events this semester.
- February is our Texas History trip to Waco and the Texas Ranger Museum.
- In March we will have our Sulphur Springs History Tour which will include Heritage Park, walking tour of downtown with John Sellers, and Hopkins County Dairy Museum.
- We have our reservation and are still planning the outdoor educational trip to Sky Ranch for spring. This is always the highlight of the year for the kids.
